Created under the leadership of Mayor George P. Lane in 2010, the Welcome Center originally operated in the Sandhills Woman’s Exchange until it was relocated to the Theatre Building in March 2014.

Inside the Theatre Building, visitors will find a warm and inviting Welcome Center with comfortable seating and information about the Village and the surrounding area, including a history room that honors the Village’s distinctive past. Visitors can peruse books containing the history of Pinehurst, view historic photos, and watch various videos on the history of Pinehurst.

The Welcome Center has local maps, brochures of things to do and places to see, local magazines, and more.  Whether you are looking for walking trails, somewhere to eat or shop, or interested in purchasing Village of Pinehurst merchandise, the Welcome Center is a great first stop for any visit to our beautiful historic town.
