One notable feature of the Village of Pinehurst is our team of active volunteers. Many of our residents serve the Village in countless ways by giving of their time and talents to better the community.

Advisory Boards, Commissions, or Committees:
The Village is now accepting applications for the following Advisory Boards, Commissions, or Committees:
- Historic Preservation Commission (HPC): Complete the HPC application and submit via email to the Village Clerk at sbonecutter@vopnc.org.
- Planning & Zoning Board and Board of Adjustment (P&Z/BOA): Complete the P&Z / BOA application and submit via email to the Village Clerk at sbonecutter@vopnc.org.
- Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC): Complete the NAC application and submit via email to the Communications Specialist at kbunton@vopnc.org.
- Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC): Complete the BPAC application and submit via email to the Village Clerk at sbonecutter@vopnc.org.
Reward & Recognition Program
Volunteers for the Village of Pinehurst have been identified as a strategic advantage and a valuable resource for the community. The Village rewards and recognizes volunteers for their contributions and commitment. These rewards and recognitions are outlined in the Volunteer Guide to Reward and Recognition.
Send an Applause Card today to thank a volunteer using this online form or pick up an Applause Card at all Village Hall, the Welcome Center, or other Village facilities. The Village Clerk will distribute the note to the designated volunteer in a timely manner.
Nominate a Village volunteer for the Volunteer Hall of Fame by filling out this nomination form and returning it via email to the Village Clerk at sbonecutter@vopnc.org or picking up a nomination form at Village Hall.
