Judy Davis was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and raised in Charleston, South Carolina.  She graduated from Winthrop College (Rock Hill, SC) with a BA in English and later earned an MA in Adult Education from The George Washington University (Washington, DC).

Judy’s sales and marketing career included roles at Convergys, Iridium, American Medical Laboratories, Venture America, MCI Telecommunications, and Planning Research Corporation.  Consulting with Ignite Advisory Group since 2013, Judy coaches FORTUNE® 500 companies to evolve their customer advisory board and executive forum programs to expand the ways in which strategic input from customers can innovate and grow their respective businesses.

Judy has been visiting Pinehurst since 1999 and became a full-time resident in December 2011.  Until her election, Judy served on the Historic Preservation Commission and the Pinehurst Civic Group, the latter as President.  She is a member of the Pinehurst Garden Club, Chippers, the League of Women Voters, and is an annual volunteer for US Kids Golf and the North South Championship.  Judy is a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and she is the 50th reunion gift chair for her 2018 Winthrop reunion.
