The Village of Pinehurst is proud to announce that it has partnered with ClearGov, a leading municipal transparency and benchmarking platform, to launch an infographic-based financial transparency center.

This new tool provides the public with an easy-to-understand, visual breakdown of the Village’s finances, as well as insights into the Village’s demographics. The site also provides budgetary comparisons to peer communities. Residents can access this information by clicking here.

The Village is part of a growing number of North Carolina municipalities that are taking transparency to a new level on the ClearGov platform, which also showcases basic profiles of every municipality in the state.  The Village has added detailed revenue and expenditure breakdowns of its General Fund data, as well as budgeted numbers for next year. 

”We were very pleased to find this platform to help us achieve greater financial transparency. This has been a goal of ours for some time and it is nice to see it finally become a reality for our community”, said John Frye, Financial Services Director for the Village.

ClearGov sources publicly available financial data on municipalities to create easy-to-understand transparency websites for all municipalities across the United States, which are made available to the public for free.  Municipalities can choose to upgrade and enhance their publicly available transparency site with more robust information and provide context through commentary on the figures.
