Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for our community. The Village of Pinehurst joins other communities nationwide in supporting Small Business Saturday on November 29.

 

Free Gift wrapping will be available at the Welcome Center inside the historic Theatre Building for customers that make a purchase at any downtown retailer.

Every year on the eve of Thanksgiving, The Carolina Hotel, freshly decked out in holiday spirit, kicks off the Sandhills' holiday season with an Orchestra Pops concert.This year will feature a musical retelling of "The Night Before Christmas," with a surprise guest narrator.Gather your loved ones together and get yourselves in the mood for the holidays.

The Beautification Committee serves as an advisory committee to the Village Council for the purpose of enhancing the appearance of the Village Center and surrounding residential areas. The Committee also assists the Public Services Department in beautifying key intersections and street corners in and near the Village Center.

The Community Appearance Commission (CAC) reviews and makes recommendations regarding plans for single family homes and fences. In reviewing these requests, the Commission works with the builder to ensure that both site and building design are appropriate for Pinehurst and will enhance the Village. The Planning and Zoning Board (P&Z) reviews all amendments to the Pinehurst Development Ordinance, all proposed rezoning of property under the Pinehurst Development Ordinance, all proposed master land use plans for planned developments, all proposed major preliminary plats of subdivision, and all proposed major site plans, and make recommendations to the Village Council for final action. The Village of Pinehurst and the Pinehurst Business Guild are proud to present this year’s Christmas Tree Lighting Event on Friday, December 5. Festivities will run from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. including photos with Santa, food concessions, hay rides, musical entertainment and the tree lighting ceremony. Come and Start Your Holidays with Us! Izzy Palooza IV Fundraiser at the Fair Barn to support the Izzy Foundation project at The Sandhills Children's Center.  There will be dinner, music, dancing, and live and silent auctions.  Cost is $50 for adults and $25 for students.

The Village Center Enhancement Committee serves as an advisory committee to the Village Council for the purpose of formulating actionable recommendations designed to enhance the health and vibrancy of the Village Center. The Committee works cooperatively with and establishes liaisons with business and property owners in the Village Center.
