Village of Pinehurst Police DepartmentThe Pinehurst Police Department’s purpose is to protect the lives and the property of both the Village’s citizens and the people who visit and work in the community. Specific responsibilities of the Police Department include answering calls for service, preventing and investigating crimes, enforcing laws, and providing education in order to reduce the community’s fears about its safety. The mission of the Pinehurst Police Department is to maximize the quality of life of the citizens of Pinehurst; to uphold the law fairly and firmly; to prevent crime; to address the problems of the citizens we serve; to resolve conflicts; to pursue and bring to justice those who violate the law; to keep the peace of the Village; to protect; to help and to do all this with integrity, common sense and sound judgment.

Special Olympics

Special Olympics North CarolinaThe members of the Police department support the NC Special Olympics by participating in the Annual Torch Run. In addition, the department typically holds several fundraising events in order to help those with special needs.
