History, Charm and Southern Hospitality
The employee population of the Village is made up of 135 individuals in regular full-time, part-time and seasonal/on-call roles. In addition to the regular staff there are five elected officials (a Mayor and four council members), as well as a Village Manager. See our current organization structure.
In addition to the Human Resources Department, we have a team of associates who serve on the Employee Recognition Committee (ERC). The function of this group is to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our employees, and to promote teamwork and camaraderie. The ERC conducts several popular events during the year. These gatherings – such as an ice cream social or seasonal breakfast/luncheon – provide an opportunity for employees in all Village departments to meet socially.
The Village of Pinehurst is an equal opportunity employer in personnel practices, including recruitment, advertising, hiring, participating in training programs, promotion, layoff/termination, pay and other forms of compensation, insurance, workers’ compensation and other benefits. We prohibit discrimination based on race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, disability, Vietnam-era veteran or other eligible veteran status, or any other unlawful forms of discrimination.
